Coast Guard, Fuller Hose Train Together on Lake Erie

On June 25, the Fuller Hose Company #1 teamed up with U.S. Coast Guard Station Erie for a joint training exercise on Lake Erie. The session took place between Fuller Hose’s Boat 205 and the Coast Guard’s Boat 45757, with both teams practicing important on-water rescue skills.

Crews worked side-by-side while maneuvering boats in motion—a crucial ability in emergency response. The Coast Guard also rehearsed stern tow operations with Boat 205, offering valuable hands-on practice.

These joint drills help both teams prepare for real-life water rescues, building trust and efficiency. With summer activities increasing on the lake, such preparedness is key to saving lives.

This marks the beginning of more collaborative training sessions between the two agencies, showing the power of teamwork in protecting the public. Learn more about U.S. Coast Guard water safety tips.
