Drivers in Freehold Township, Warren County, should prepare for a big road change next year. A $1.55 million federally funded project will repair the bridge carrying Lottsville Niobe Road (Route 4015) over Mill Creek. Work is scheduled to begin on July 7, 2025, weather permitting.
The bridge, built in 1987, is currently in poor condition and serves around 200 vehicles each day. This project will focus on replacing the bridge’s superstructure, adding new beams, barriers, and a new deck. Crews will also pave both approaches to the bridge, improve drainage, and add shoulder backup to make the area safer for drivers.
While construction is underway, drivers will need to follow a detour using Stillwater Road and Huntley Road. This detour will likely last for about four months while the bridge is closed.
Horizon Construction of Seneca, PA, will handle the work. The project is expected to wrap up and the new bridge should open by late October 2025. The repairs are fully funded through federal transportation dollars, ensuring the bridge stays safe for the local community for years to come.
Stay alert for updates as the project date gets closer and plan extra time for travel during the detour.
