ExpERIEnce Museum Launches Family Music Series

Families gathered at the ExpERIEnce Children’s Museum on Sunday for the start of a lively new summer tradition. The museum launched its Summer Music Series, called Playdate Playlist, which brings live music to families every other week through August.

The series kicked off with a performance by Drum Nexus, setting an energetic tone for what’s to come. The goal of the series is to introduce children and their families to a variety of music genres and performers in a fun and engaging way.

Future performers include the Junior Philharmonic String Quartet, the popular band First to Eleven, and the group Attention Switch. These acts will rotate every other week, giving visitors a chance to enjoy different styles of music throughout the summer.

This event is made possible by the Clarence E. Beyers Music Performance Fund of the Erie Arts Endowment through Erie Arts & Culture.

The museum hopes the music series will spark a lifelong love of the arts among young audiences while bringing families together for unforgettable afternoons. It’s a joyful way to spend the summer in Erie.
