Looking to make the most of Independence Day weekend? Erie and surrounding communities are packed with fun activities, fireworks, and parades to celebrate the Fourth of July with family and friends. From baseball games to beach fireworks, there’s something for everyone.
Kick things off early with the Erie SeaWolves games on July 2 and July 3 at UPMC Park. After the game, stick around for fireworks lighting up the night sky. Over by the lake, “Lights over Lake Erie” will take place at the foot of the Bicentennial Tower, starting at 10 p.m. For something a bit different, head to PennWest Edinboro University for Boro with the Works, featuring family fun by Mallory Lake and fireworks to end the night.
Warren County is hosting live music at Bent Run Brewing Company, and Conneaut, Ohio, is putting on its “Red, White & Boom Over Lake Erie” with pageants, parades, live music, and fireworks spread over multiple days.
On July 4 itself, don’t miss the 58th Annual Millcreek Township Fourth of July Parade starting at West 12th and Marshall Streets. Lawrence Park Township’s festival offers a bike parade, a traditional street parade, and fireworks to wrap up the day. Betts Park in Warren County, the North East celebration, and Crawford County’s Ultimate Freedom Event also promise food, activities for kids, and big firework finales.
The weekend fun doesn’t stop there. Families camping at Erie KOA Holiday can join in special festivities on Saturday evening. Plus, Conneaut’s Red, White & Boom continues with live entertainment and fireworks.
Pack up your lawn chairs, gather your loved ones, and enjoy a safe, fun-filled Fourth of July weekend in and around Erie!
